Signs/Symptoms
- Unable to pass urine (may be passing small amounts overflow)
- Desire to pass urine (reduced in neurological causes e.g. cauda equine)
- Suprapubic & loin pain (may not be present in chronic or neurological causes)
- Palpable bladder on examination
