Initial Assessment Tools (IATs)- The IAT revolution

Initial Assessment Tools are a way of standardising the way in which we triage patient ensuring all patient receive the same assessment. They encompass a flow chart for all the common presenting conditions. They have been endorsed by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine.
